Easter Festivities!

Easter season is always so fun! We love any kind of holidays around here, but this one is always seems especially cheerful.  It's so great to have Solana learn about Easter in our home, at church, and at school. I love sending her to a religious school. She is always singing the happiest songs about Jesus. And she understands both the real meaning and the fun meaning of Easter.
So this season we soaked up all the egg hunts we could. And we enjoyed adding another egg hunter to the mix. Here are the Easter festivities in action.

Egg hunt at Walsingham Academy.

Getting her face painted for the first time. A flower of course.

The kids playing under the parachute

The big kids let her help.

Riding up high (his favorite)

First hunt was for the young ones ages 0-2. Solana is teaching Bostie the ropes.

He figured it was a more practical way to carry his basket.

The men I love the most :)

She said that her wings would help her catch her eggs faster. And she was right. And her wings helped her get a spot in the local paper, The Virginia Gazette!

Another egg hunt at the Williamsburg Sports Complex.

Poor buddy, it was freezing the day the before Easter, like in the high 40's to low 50's.

He finally got the idea down.

Waiting for the egg hunt to begin. Grammy is so nice to wait with her.

And she's off...

The cold family Easter crew.  It was so fun having the Grammy and Grandpa Brad around for Easter this year!

Such a sweet photo of these two. Grandmas are the best!

Yep, twinners!! I love that Adam likes to match Bostie, and I love that they do.
Best Friends!

Getting her egg coloring on.

We even did some sparkly ones this year, which is especially exciting.

Bostie just played all day, as usual.

He loves his new hat that the Easter bunny brought :)

All ready for Easter Sunday.

Yes, she is wearing an egg on her head.

I'm in love with these two. Growing up way too fast, and yet they are still so little!

Yay, both smiling!

Solana said her favorite thing about herself is that she is silly. And that is one of the millions reasons I love her.

Our attempted family Easter photo. Only a tad blurry.

Happy Easter 2014!

April phone highlights

With spring finally arriving, we ventured to CW pretty often. And Solana could pick flowers all day everyday and be the happiest girl in the world.  No, literally, she could just constantly pick flowers and be so happy.

Bubbles at CW!
Mommy getting tired at CW!

If he has a bowl of popcorn, he will watch anything on the TV. Its my secret tool to get him to stay still while I clean.  (And of course, Frozen is on our tv.)

I got to help out in Solana school. So Bostie came along and helped out as well. Solana was excited to show her brother everything. Like the water table!

She builds lots of structures at school. Its favorite things to do there.  Double towers!  So intense!

Her cubby

Boston takes the saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" very literally. He wants one every day and to eat it whole. iIt usually takes him about an hour.  Adam now has to core it first, otherwise Boston will devour the entire thing if we don't watch carefully.

More flower picking!
And now we're in a box!

Boston, rocking out on his mini piano.  He loves to play piano.  Sometimes, he'll just wander back and forth between his mini piano and our upright piano, just banging keys on each one.

Our "dinner" table for the time being, while we waited for our new one to arrive.

Sometimes, Boston can get pretty cozy.
Solana, enjoying some time with her crew, which included, at this point, the Jesus doll from school and her sleeping baby.
Boston loves the computers at the library!  It is a full time endeavor to keep him from climbing on the desktop or pounding the keyboard.

Last, but not least, this is where Adam spent pretty much all of the month of April - with his head tucked into a stack of papers and notes on his computer, studying for his last round of finals ever!  So excited to be done!
