March madness (not in the basketball kind of way..)

March was ridiculously busy, and packed full of fun adventures.  Sadly it was still winter in the city, like super cold! And so we were happy that we had some mini-vacations planned throughout the month the help the time go by. The highlights of the month were seeing Adam being sworn in in Albany NY, and heading down to Williamsburg Virginia to visit friends and family and finally get to see Olivia return home from her mission!

Warning: Lots and lots of photos ahead!

Walking to church, they hold hands every week and it's so cute!

He is obsessed with trains.

This was actually on March 1st, ugh!  The frozen North.

Just waiting for the ice to melt….

My little Trader Joe's companion every week.

Horsey rides are the usual around here.

He applied two different shades of lipstick, and yes it was the stay on all day kind of lipstick, so that was fun.  But at least he got somewhat near his lips.

Yes a boy is inside, with his iPad and protection from the snow storm.

It's so beautiful as soon as the snow falls, and if the temperatures didn't kill us I would mind it so much.

Picking up this cute one from school everyday is fun. ( I would much rather have her with me all day)

A little Boston foot selfie. Cute chubby toes!

Checking in on them before we headed to bed, I got this shot. I almost cried it was so sweet. They are best friends!

For family home evening one night, we did the marshmallow patience test, and they both passed! Solana asks to do this all the time.

All loaded up and ready for an overnight trip to Albany!

Where's Adam?? He is the one in the black suit…..  :)

Hes official!! And the ceremony was like a small graduation (except thankfully short and to the point), it was nice to be there and make it actually feel like we had finished the last steps on his career path.

We were happy, and cold, but sooooooo happy!

On our way back to the city we stopped at the Vanderbilt mansion in Hyde Park, NY. One of their smallest estates. It was gorgeous!

And a total stranger snagged this great photo of us. I guess we asked the right person.

Walking back with their newly sworn in Daddy. Solana kept saying "Now Daddy's a REAL lawyer!"

Road trips feel extra special because we don't have a car anymore. The kids love it, and we love when they nap we can just chat for hours on the road. It was a blast!

Playing with one of her sweet friends in Williamsburg, Leah. She couldn't wait to see her friends in Williamsburg. She misses them all the time!

One of the main things Solana wanted to do in Williamsburg was go to Yankee Candle. And it felt so good to be back just hanging out.

We loved the great weather we got in Williamsburg, and it was crazy to be at a park again!

He makes climbing and conquering the playground look too easy. He has no fear!

We went and scootered around our old neighborhood. It made me sad to be back, but I was just so focused on how fun it was to be back that I tried not to get so sad while I was there. We just soaked up everything!

"Oh no, Ducks!"

Good ol' Bounce House.

Had to stop for a haircut. He was in need and I never want to spend NY hair prices on a little toddler boy. And unlike the last time we where here, he was perfect!

Hanging out in CW. Boston petting a horse for the first time.

The old kids crew gang all back together again. Cutest kids in all of Williamsburg!

Can you tell it was St. Patricks day!? Or maybe we just all the love green, either way, these ladies are best you'll ever find. I love every one of them!!

The day after we got back, Adam got some great free tickets to the Knicks game, and since its on Adam's NBA-fan-bucket list to see Madison Square Garden (and really fun) we just had to go.  It was a great game and the Knicks won a close, hard-fought game.  (Haha, just kidding, the Knicks suck and got blown out.)

Some scootering Esplanade action.

I'm pretty sure he loved his cupcake...

The flower show was so neat, and it felt so good to honestly pretend it was spring. Because when we walked into Macy's, snow flurries were falling...

Flowers on the escalator, thats crazy!

Hello giant lego girl!

Adam and the kids had so much fun at the lego store. I mean how could you not, look at the incredible lego architecture, A-MAZ-ING!

Helping her build with her new girl legos.

Seriously the best Sunday afternoon nap. I love how cuddly he always is.

The last day of the month, we had some great friends come the to city. Jaryn and I have been friends since I was 4, so it was fun to have our daughters (age 4 and 5) play together so well. Solana LOVED Melrose. Which gives us yet another reason to want to move back to Southern California.

March you were awesome!
