Brooke and Piper!

It was such a great surprise (it was random and somewhat last minute) to have my sister Brooke and her outgoing, fun-loving, and oh-so-sweet little girl Piper come out to visit.  Boston loved having a friend he could roam around with, and Solana loved pretending that Piper was both her little sister and her cousin (she is going through a sister phase).  Brooke was a trooper and flew out to the east to have some relaxing time here.  The days flew by, but we enjoyed all the moments we could, especially while the babes slept.  We use to live by each other, back when Adam and I were in college, and I sure do miss having her close to me. But it was fun to catch up and have another mommy in the house to help and understand the tiredness, scatterbrainness, and other messes that come our way. We missed them when they left.  But we look forward to seeing them in December!
Here are the highlights:

Meeting for the first time.

Hanging out the next morning. Poor Piper had caught a small cold before she arrived, and was such a trooper getting over it.  She never even acted like she was sick, such a trooper.  Boston obviously approves.

Little buddies to share toys with. They were so fun playing together.

"So how does your toy taste?" "Mmmm...same as yours....delicious!"

"Did you need to strain some peas too? Here you go."
Cooking in such a small kitchen has its challenges.

We took the ferry over to Surry to enjoy what was left of the pumpkin patch.

It was very cold and windy there -Solana is not a fan of too cold or too hot weather, just like me! :)

I mean...priceless.

The more kids you get the harder it gets to actually get a photo. So we take what we can get. Sorry Solana lost out on this one. haha

She is so cuddly.

Solana got to party upstairs with Mom and Dad while Brooke was here, and she loved sleeping upstairs.

She loves animals and its always fun to head down to CW and check them out.

Piper checking out the sheep. Such a cutie.

I wonder what they are talking about.  When I look at this I know she loves having a brother, despite her frequently asking me "Can we pretend Boston is a girl?"

This shot was my favorite. Love you guys!

Awe...

I love her pondering face.

He gets really excited for just about anything.

And we wore them out.  They were great car seat buddies.
