Day 10: Hiking in Cinque Terre

September 3rd, 2015

We found out that we were pregnant in the charming little coastal town of Vernazza.  Adam ducked into a pharmacia, and was pretty proud of himself for ordering in Italian.  (The pharmacia-ist was impressed.)  "Incinta" means pregnant in case you don't speak Italian :)

After we found out we were expecting our 3rd baby, we went on the most beautiful hike!  The path is called the Via d'Amor, although, with all of the steep elevation changes, it was pretty tough!

This crew did a great job hiking all over the Italian coastline!

The halfway point.

Boston ended up being carried for the majority of the last half of the hike. Adam and I were pretty exhausted after that.   It was fun, but we all ended the hike dripping in sweat.

After rushing through the town of Corniglia to find the train station, we found it!  But to get there we had to descend what felt like 100 flights of endless stairs, and we were all pretty tired!

Waiting, waiting, and more waiting...  Right there, for 3.5 hours!  (We survived - not the worst view...)

Gigi became a master cart seat head holder.

And a great inventor.

Solana spotted her very first rainbow. And she still remembers it so clearly today.

We told mom that evening at dinner that we were expecting our 3rd baby!!

Dinner in a tiny family-owned restaurant in a little town.  They make their own pasta from scratch right there in the kitchen.  We were the only ones in the restaurant and it was so fun and delicious!
