Farewell Drapers!

Our good friends moved to San Antonio! We did not want them to go - they weren't supposed to leave for a couple more years, but he got a law job offer that he couldn't refuse.  So they transferred to Texas. At least it's to a place we will visit :) But we are still so sad. So to make them feel bad about leaving, we threw them a guilt party...lol! Actually, it was a really great going away party! We had so much fun, and were glad to get all the friends together before they left. I forgot to take pictures until the end, when people were leaving and the house was trashed.  But here are some quick ones.

Solana decided to give everyone a show in the middle of the party.  She was sticking out her tongue while putting her shirt over her face, seriously this girlfriend of mine is silly!

The Lukes! Both of our husbands, the "Adams" (my Adam and Adam Luke) are here for law school and business school, so Sarah and I are in it for the long haul, 3 MORE years!

If you haven't seen some pregnant ladies lately, head on over to Williamsburg. These were 3 of the 6 pregnant ladies at the party that night! And 4 of them are having boys! Still waiting on the other 2...

Future college roommates: Sydney, Abigail, and Solana. And they will still be all trying to share a car then too.

The Drapers are our twin family. Why you ask?

Sabrina and Adam are both from Texas. Sydney and Solana both have Grace as a middle name. Dustin and Adam both graduated from the BYU Honors Program and in humanities. Dustin and Adam approached law school the exact same way, and ended up with the exact same GPA! Sabrina and I both served missions, and she served in southern California where I'm from. And they were married the day after we were, and Sydney's birthday is the day after Adam's. It's all random and fun stuff, but our personalities were so similar, and we just loved getting to know them here.
But since they are moving to where we came from, we know we will see them soon.  Love you twin family!!

Best Easter yet!!

Easter is one of my favorite holidays, 3rd on the list to be exact. Christmas is number one for me, and of course the 4th of July/birthday is second. And Adam's favorite holiday is New Years, with Christmas as second. But Easter I love Easter because I think it is the happiest day without much prep, and I wanted to make it special for Solana no matter what.  I love celebrating our Savior's resurrection and church always feels extra special that day. I love all the colors of spring, and I just love spring in general. It has the best feeling, like starting over or having great things before you. This year I had some things planned and others I completely spaced on, like dinner and egg decorating. (oops) But last minute we pulled it all together. Solana was especially happy that day, and I wouldn't say she was more hyper (she came to earth hyper) but she had a few sugar crash moments. She had a blast finding eggs around the house on Sunday morning, and was surprisingly very good at it. All in all I think Adam and I were more burnt out than she was (we had too many sweets!)
Then right before we were going to bed, I got a phone call that would happen to be the best news I have ever received, and that made the final decision on that day. It was the best Easter I had EVER had!
More on that to come......

Hope yours was wonderful as well. Happy Easter everyone!!

Saturday we stopped in at good ol' Yankee candle to see the Easter bunny, she was pretty excited, and this time we actually made it through without any tears. She was stiff as a board sitting on the bunny's lap, but she didn't cry! Maybe next year she will let go of me as well.

Yes another Elmo doll, this one is the baby and it talks. It's really cute actually, and now she carries both around.

Guess she got a little bored and wanted to watch her home movies on the phone.

All ready for church! It was such a cute white dress, super fluffy! And she loved being all dressed up. Having church at 1 actually has some perks. Long relaxing mornings, naps in the car on the way to church, then an early bedtime!

My two favorite people in the whole world, my twins!

We finally got a family photo. It has been way too long. But on Easter it was a must!

After dinner we headed to the Palace Green in CW. The weather was perfect! Solana ran around and we got some great pcitures. Then we ran into some good friends and we all hung for awhile. I love small towns, and I love our friends!!

We are not together often, but we always make it count when we are. I think I'm down to 4 weeks till his first year is done! (3 more to go, but they should hopefully not be so intense...)  Can't wait to see him more than 1 hour a day. Our next photo will have even bigger smiles because we won't have school stress, yay!!!

Family in town

A while ago, we had a great visit from Adam's parents and sister, Olivia. It was at the end of Adam's spring break, so it was good timing so that Adam could actually see his other family. (His current family is a table and chair in the library) It was a great weekend and it was so fun to have Solana get to see her extended family again!

The last night I finally remembered to take pictures :)
