Family visits

August brought some amazing folks to NYC - Our family!! Every weekend was packed full of touristy fun things with the people we love.

Solana and her cousin are only 4 months apart and they way too cute together. Cousins are so much fun!

I mean how cute are these two?!  They pretty much tuned out the entire world while they walked and talked.

Oh wait, these 2 are just as cute!

The City Crew.

Then the big group arrives. Look at all that fun you can fit in a selfie stick :)

First time subway riders in here.  (It's not Boston's first time, but he looks like he might be having the most fun, since he was basically allowed to roam and ride however he wanted for a couple moments.)

They were perfect subway surfers.

Then, the next weekend, Grammy and Aunt Olivia came up for the weekend!! We missed Grandpa (Boston missed him most) but we had so much fun showing Olivia around.

Two beauties in the park. And I hope Solana has inherited their incredible skin gene :)  (The people in the background have dropped, what Adam calls, the perfect double photo-bum!)

Thanks Grammy for capturing Adam and I absorbed in a selfie :) haha.

But it turned out pretty cute!

They were quick weekends, but we loved doing all the things we love in NYC with the people we love. Plus we might not always live in such a desired place for people to come visit, so we are soaking up the attention!

Virginia is for Lovers

We love Virginia and we look forward to every time we get to go back. We love seeing family and friends there, and coming from the city its so nice to see lots of trees and open spaces! The kiddies love to run around and they get so impressed that Grammy and Grandpa have 3 bathrooms, haha!  But relaxing in a wonderful home with the ones you love is so comforting. It was relaxing and still full of so many fun activities.  Here are some fun highlights from a perfect 5 day trip.

A much needed haircut for this young man, whose golden mullet-curls were all over the place.

Traveling with a car is so easy!

Because trying to hit a 70mph foam rocket with a $2 hockey stick in the kitchen is really fun.

Busch Gardens in Williamsburg is simply the best. It's how we spent our 3 summers we lived there.

Grandpa always has a shadow...

Maybe a little unsure about this…

Can you tell how hot it was?!

This end-of-the-day selfie sums up our day perfectly. Hot and Exhausted!

Grammy spent the whole morning making a movie with Solana. She was in heaven.

There is nothing more comforting than being surrounded by loved ones. Courtesy of a big sister.

Till next time Virginia! Thanks for always making our lives so easy and enjoyable.
