Easter season is always so fun! We love any kind of holidays around here, but this one is always seems especially cheerful. It's so great to have Solana learn about Easter in our home, at church, and at school. I love sending her to a religious school. She is always singing the happiest songs about Jesus. And she understands both the real meaning and the fun meaning of Easter.
So this season we soaked up all the egg hunts we could. And we enjoyed adding another egg hunter to the mix. Here are the Easter festivities in action.
Egg hunt at Walsingham Academy.
Getting her face painted for the first time. A flower of course.
The kids playing under the parachute
The big kids let her help.
Riding up high (his favorite)
First hunt was for the young ones ages 0-2. Solana is teaching Bostie the ropes.
He figured it was a more practical way to carry his basket.
The men I love the most :)
She said that her wings would help her catch her eggs faster. And she was right. And her wings helped her get a spot in the local paper, The Virginia Gazette!
Another egg hunt at the Williamsburg Sports Complex.
Poor buddy, it was freezing the day the before Easter, like in the high 40's to low 50's.
He finally got the idea down.
Waiting for the egg hunt to begin. Grammy is so nice to wait with her.
And she's off...
The cold family Easter crew. It was so fun having the Grammy and Grandpa Brad around for Easter this year!
Such a sweet photo of these two. Grandmas are the best!
Yep, twinners!! I love that Adam likes to match Bostie, and I love that they do.
Best Friends!
Getting her egg coloring on.
We even did some sparkly ones this year, which is especially exciting.
Bostie just played all day, as usual.
He loves his new hat that the Easter bunny brought :)
All ready for Easter Sunday.
Yes, she is wearing an egg on her head.
I'm in love with these two. Growing up way too fast, and yet they are still so little!
Yay, both smiling!
Solana said her favorite thing about herself is that she is silly. And that is one of the millions reasons I love her.
Our attempted family Easter photo. Only a tad blurry.
Happy Easter 2014!
