Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, and always has been. I LOVE EVERYTHING Christmas. I love what it means, I love the music, I love the decorations, I love the shopping, I love the festivities, I love the happiness.
This was our first Christmas in New York City and we loved it. There was so much to do and I felt like we did so much in such a short time. But it was also an adjustment because we usually have Adam home with us for at least 2 or 3 weeks due to his school break. But this year he worked and actually hasn't had a day off since I can remember (including Christmas Day!) But we still have the best time. And having 2 little active kids (because Boston is not a baby anymore) just made it that much more fun.
The ice skating rink next to our house dumped all the excess snow off and made it into a huge pile so that my kids can have the best 20 minutes of their day.
The kids love making cookies, and last year we started the gingerbread man tradition. This year Bossman jumped in and enjoyed the dough.
Solana and I enjoyed baking and decorating together.
Adam's firm had a Christmas Eve holiday party for the kids in the afternoon. And it was amazing! They had a DJ, games, puppet shows, face painting, all free food and dessert, and so much more. We are definitely excited for this new tradition as well.
Argh Matey!
He was obsessed with this game. My boys and their basketball...
The best face painter I have ever seen.
She wanted to look like Queen Elsa and requested a snowflake.
Just hanging out Daddy's office and climbing on everything they could.
Boston made himself pretty comfortable and loved making some phone calls. And he surprisingly had the whole conversation thing down, and we were pretty impressed seeing that my kids don't know what corded phones look like….
After the party, we stopped by to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree as a family. It was a crazy rainy day and we were all drenched, but it was a really fun thing to do before going home to celebrate Christmas Eve.
We only take cabs when we are desperate….. Tired? Check. Cold? Check. Wet? Check. Time for a cab.
Christmas Eve!!!!!!!!
Grammy sent us the best thing. A key for Santa since we don't have a chimney - genius!
The smiles on Christmas morning are something to always be remembered. They make me soooooo happy!!!!!!!!
Little Boston got a helmet for his scooter - but we think his head is too big because we can never get it to sit much lower than it does in the picture!
The other Dr. Prestidge
The kids have their bike riding and scootering down. They are lovin' life right now.
Merry Christmas 2014!
