Oh my May was its own kind of adventure. We packed in all the activities we could this month. And we rocked it!

The train isn't the only way we get around. Someone in the family buses it at least every day.
Taking the big long walk over the Brooklyn bridge. So crowded, but so beautiful! Its one of Adam's favorite bridges, but there are so many in New York, it is tough to choose!

We took the ferry back from Brooklyn - we were all too tired to walk back. And I just love that Bostie was eager to jump in on our boat selfie.
These boys love the Heliport down at Pier 11. So we watched for a while. It's pretty cool to watch the helicopters drift in for a landing and take off so closely.
Even though we pass the 9/11 Memorial everyday, it was nice to actually stop by and enjoy it.

Another hot day in the city called for some water fountain action. Not sure if this was meant for kid play, but whatever.
For about a week straight, Boston would get his backpack on in hopes that he could go to school with Solana. Then when she and Daddy would leave, he would lay on the floor crying for a while. It's so sad and sweet at the same time. He is such a fun little guy.
Adam and I had a fabulous date night out in Brooklyn, where we got to rock out to one of Adam's most favorite music groups of all time - Crosby, Stills and Nash!
Her last day being 4!
The fact that they are almost 2 and half years apart blows my mind. He is so big. Not a week goes by that someone doesn't tell me they think he is 3. And in this photo they look the same age!
She wants to be an artist when she grows up. And her new easel just might help her achieve it.
For the fabulous birthday weekend, Grammy and Grandpa Brad joined us! (There's Adam, doing his best Statue of Liberty pose.)
Solana's absolute favorite thing about the city, like hands down favorite, is the Statue of Liberty! She loves it. So it was pretty fun to take her to see it for her birthday.
Solana learned all about Fifel the Mouse from Grammy while traveling on the boat to the Big Apple.
We cruised the High Line and found some random artist dude that was letting kids paint. So this little artist had to join in.
Adam got me a crepe maker for Mother's Day, and we had so much fun making delicious crepes for everyone.

They also have free soccer classes at the park. Solana had so much fun playing and Boston had a blast just dribbling the whole way down the park. Solana loves soccer, and Boston is great for a 2 year old!
Boston and Daddy got to go on their first father and son campout. I wouldn't say it was a success (Boston got pretty board and antsy sitting around in the woods, and they didn't have a very comfortable night sleep, and Boston got a tick) but still, it was camping! Adam was thrilled to take his son camping, and even though the experience had room for improvement, it was a very special time for them. I mean, look at that smile!
While the boys were gone, Solana and I had a blast at girls night. We ate some cupcakes, watched movies, and stayed up late talking. It was bliss!
When Adam got back from the father and son campout (really early in the morning, because Boston woke up at 6:30 and they didn't really have anything to do), we still had the car rental. So we randomly decided to head out to New Jersey and Connecticut to do a little house/neighborhood searching and school searching for Solana. It was so nice to get out of the city and see the beauty that the country has. Connecticut was gorgeous and its definitely on our radar for possible location to settle. But right now it feels worlds away from any planning.
We found this cool exercise park. We had so much fun.
All hot and sweaty while playing, Boston took it upon himself to relax in the shade of this tree. Just grabbed his water, walked over, and plopped down.
We could definitely get use to having the outdoors so close.
