The Big Birthday 5!

It came, she conquered!
I can't believe she turned 5. Such a big kid age to me. She has been excited about it for months.
We had a great full day planned. A school party where she read a book to her class all on her own ("Biscuit Goes to School"), then we all sang happy birthday and ate some delicious chocolate chip muffins.
After that we ran some errands, she picked out her birthday cake (strawberry shortcake of course) and then we decorated for her birthday tea party.
She had 6 little sweet girlfriends over and they had a blast. We played games, had some lemon tea, danced, hula-hooped, and played played played.
For her birthday we let her stay of up late. She was playing with her new toys till 10pm, then took an hour long bubble bath. Then calmly crashed out at 11pm.  She was the happiest of birthday girls.
She said the best part about turning 5 is that she gets to go to kindergarten. And as much as I love birthdays and taking on a new age, its getting hard to watch her grow up so fast. I just want to slow it down so badly. But just like Solana kept telling me "Mommy I can't stay 4 forever!" And right she is.

So because turning 5 is really great, we had a tea party to celebrate!!

Her birthday breakfast: waffles with strawberries and whipped cream.

Reading to her class.

After school we stopped at the balloon saloon to get this big 5 blown up. She loved it!

All the little crammed around the little table for some tea.

A little musical chairs...

A little dance party

Boston was the only boy, and such a good sibling at the party. He joined in like one of girls and had himself a good time.

Her little soul sister Navy. They are besties through and through.

High fives for the 5 year old!

She was spoiled by family and friends and she loved every moment. Such a fun day for everyone. Happy 5th Birthday sweet Solana girl!
