Viva Turkey-stock '09!

On top of the World!

What a wonderful day we had together! We started our morning off with a pleasant breakfast and a trip to the Arc de Triomph, climbing to the top where we had a beautiful view of all of Paris. We strolled down the Champs Elysees together, which was extremely crowded on this hot Saturday afternoon. After that, we escaped the heat with a little nap, so we could rest up for our late night.
In the evening, we walked down to the Place de Trocadero, where we had a great birthday dinner at a very swanky sidewalk cafe. CheyAnn had the best pizza ever, which just melted in your mouth, and I had delicious veal - mmmmmmm!
On our way to the Eiffel Tower that evening, we passed Turkey-stock! What is that you ask? Well, it's a huge, giant concert in the park filled with jillions of Turkish people who are waving their flags and jamming out to sweet Middle Eastern music being played on a gigantic stage. It was cool.
After Turkey-Fest '09, which we really enjoyed by the way, we walked down to the Tour Eiffel. We accidently bought tickets for the sommet, but we were too scared to go all the way to the top, and it was a super long line, so we braved only the second level, where we hugged and kissed for about an hour, gazing over Paris at night. Tres lovely!
Finally, we wandered the streets for a while, picking through our many options at 1 am for dessert. I love places being open late! A little dessert, and our wonderful day finally ended around 2 am.
This morning, after a little chocolat chaud and croissants, we are about to board our train for Amsterdam. Au Revior!
