Besties in town!

We had our best friends Matt and Heather come out in January for a visit to the east coast!! It was a short action packed weekend, and we had a blast! I don't think Solana agreed with the schedule or the weather, but she survived.  At this point I don't even remember the details of the trip, but I do remember having a blast in DC, eating great food, Solana screaming in the cab ride back the hotel, and falling asleep in and out of conversation on our 3 hour drive home from DC, and I remember wishing it would be 50 degrees warmer with no wind. But most importantly I wish we had more time while they were here, even though we packed it all in, we miss them a lot, and we did not want it to end! Nor do I think Matt or Adam wanted to get to back to school.
So here are the highlights, I guess I only busted out the camera for DC, but we did show them Williamsburg, and we attempted Jamestown. Enjoy!

First was the Capitol Building. Random factoid: Which dollar bill has this building on it?? Matt got it, but sadly we didn't have the bill on us to take the picture.....

Cute chubby little thing

Solana's first movie in a movie theater.......A movie about the Capitol, in the Capitol!

Matt and Heather brought this hilarious hat for her, but she did not love wearing it as much as we loved watching her wear it. But it has grown on her, and we laugh every time we make her wear it.

Pretty good picture taken from the stroller on timer.

She really loved the museums with animals, and she wanted to scale this wall to the elephant pretty badly.

Adam's favorite part of the Natural History museum.

Sweetest little photo ever.
She loves uncle Matt, and he kept her warm for quit some time. It was CHILLLeeeeee!!!!

We were one cold group at the Arlington National Cemetery. This cemetery is one of the oldest in the country and is the resting spot for some 14,000 soldiers.

Solana's miserable face is priceless. I'm pretty sure by this time of the trip she had disowned us as parents.
This was last stop, President John F. Kennedys grave, it was beautiful to see, and the eternal flame that burns creates a solemn feeling at the gravesite. It was touching.

Well that was it, till next time guys!!!

Solana looks like a little pilgrim in that bottom picture. She must be a pretty well-behaved little girl...I don't think we could have gotten away with doing that much with Leah!
