Survived July and rocked it!

July flew by, and well, we had actually wanted it to, so it worked out.  Adam was in his final days of studying for the bar exam, which were pretty brutal, and the last 2 days of July he flew to New York to take his bar exam.  He feels pretty good about it, but we won't find out for months if he passed (fingers crossed till then). But while he was cramming all hours in the library, we tried to have fun and make the most of summer without him.  As fun as it was, we were all excited to get through it!
I warn that there are lots of random all-kids photos! And Solana has taken on a new meaning of selfies. My camera is full of these gems every day. Oh I hope she never changes. I love them!

It was a double shower kind of night - before dinner, and then another one after. But spaghetti faces are so cute!

Dinner without Adam can get pretty casual around here. (See photo above)

Solana selfie on her way to gymnastics

Slide buddies! And trying to attempt the park at 8 am in hopes that it doesn't get too hot was only brilliant for 20 minutes. We were all sweaty by the time we left.

Sometimes, the mulch is pancakes.  But today, it was food for the animals on the boat - Solana was a mama cow, and Boston was a baby cow, who kept messing up the animal food!

Discovering that he fits nice and snug in the doll stroller.

Love the double chin action.

When it rains, the boots come out, and I secretly wish we all had a matching pair :)

Hand waxing at Yankee Candle. She did so well for barely being tall enough to get one hand down.

Solana and her proud wax hand. But I seriously have no idea what to do with it, its still sitting around the house and I pray it doesn't melt.

Yeah this one is awesome!

He loves flipping through the pages, and I can't help but snag a cute photo of it.

Play-do is my enemy of mine, so when we bust it out we go all out with the hope I that I don't have to get it out ever again. But she sure does love it and that makes me not dislike it so much :)

Boston's new NYC shirt (sized 12 months) and Solana took it off him and put it on herself. Let the clothes stealing begin…  That face says "Please, can I keep this shirt?!"

6 years to the day and 2 kiddos in between.  July 18, 2014.  Our 6th anniversary.  When life gets crazy and we don't ever get to see each other, we get fun mornings to remember how perfect life can be. Happy Anniversary to us! Best six years of our lives!

I guess the sofa is a little too big for Boston's standards. He loves thinking the stroller is for him.

When Daddy is home, he always riles them up right before bedtime.

This is the first time she crawled into his crib, where the giggled and talked and hours later finally fell asleep.  I couldn't help but sneaking a picture late at night.  They are best buddies. (minus all the sibling fights over toys and attention)

I'm on a boat!

Rocking the water slides solo. Love her independence.

Yeah they were exhausted from Water Country. That's when you know they had lots of fun.  I love Boston's face.  It says, "Please take me home."

It never gets old. Climbing into the "sink" is the only way to get what you want from up high. Works every time.  This time, Boston just decided to stick with it and hang out in the sink.

She's a great mommy.

Someone loves going to the dentist. She even told me after that taking care of kids' teeth is what she wants to do when she is bigger. Just like Daddy's friend Matt :)

Someone did NOT like the dentist. Haha. He gets over it pretty quickly and Solana hated it as well until about 2 years old.  This face says, "I can tell this is not going to be good."

Mid-day sculpture building from our future architect/pediatric dentist/lawyer/animal rescuer.

After the bath is my favorite time, all clean and extra sweet.

Picking up Adam on his last day of studying, never to return to school again. His happiness was through the roof! Which of course made us that much happier to have him back.  Peace out, law school!

I think blue is her favorite color…  With her new double stroller.

Kicking off those sandals for a little soccer playing with Daddy.

Solana gets pretty competitive, and Boston just loves chasing the ball around, so it can be a pretty fun game at the park.

One big smile to show how excited she was that Daddy was actually never going back to school again!

Happiness at its best!

Never look back. Here we come big changes!

33!? How did that happen

The fireworks definitely went off in my mind this year :) I can't believe I turned 33. It really hit me this year that time is truly flying by.  I love each new year and I love that I have a whole new age to love and lots to learn.  But what bothers me is how fast it goes.  Because if I get older this quick then that means so do my kids, and I really don't want them growing up so fast!
32 was a fun year, but also a hard one.  I battled depression for over 8 months and finally overcame it earlier this year.  I adjusted to life with 2 kids, and quickly saw just how blessed I am to love 2 perfect kiddos. I learned how little you need to be happy. I learned lots of patience, another meaning of sacrifice, and I learned even more how much God loves me. I learned the power of an answered prayer. I learned most that, no matter what, people can change and should change. Life is most enjoyed when we are learning and growing.  I wouldn't trade a very difficult year for anything. I grew and became a better, happier me, and now I have another great year for more change! Im excited…actually pumped for all that is before me! Cheers to 33!
Adam had one day off from studying for the bar in July, yeah for holiday birthdays! So we were just lucky to have him home with us during the week.  We woke up to a rainy cool 4th of July. We had plans to go the beach, but it rained all morning and Adam decided we should all go do something we haven't done before, so we went on a nature walk around the York River.  It was gorgeous and the weather was unheard of for a summer day in Virginia.  Then after that we chilled at the house while I watched my favorite movie "Throughly Modern Millie" did presents and cake, my favorite chocolate chip cookie pie that Adam makes for me (my mom's recipe) and then headed down to Colonial Williamsburg to watch the fireworks, which were incredible! The weather was still so nice and we had saved seats earlier that day and it really worked out in our favor.  It was a great birthday, lots of love from family and friends!
Bring on a new age, lots of changes ahead with a big move to NYC at the end of the summer! Should be another great year full of surprises and adventures.  Happy 4th of July!!!!!

His face when I told him we were going outside….

Solana and I each made flags for one another to celebrate.

Solana's great 4th of July sign (backwards J and Y….)

York River State Park - Gorgeous!

It was ridiculously windy by the river.

And ridiculously windy on the trail, we got a little nervous a tree would fall of us. So this is as far as we went on our walk, because really, trees fall down all the time here, and they were really rocking.

Solana's face is hilarious!

My sexy spousy.
