Flying through summer-August is finished!

August was CRA-CRA-CRA-CRAZY!!! But so much fun. My head was spinning most days, but when it mattered I had fun and took time to celebrate this amazing month - our last month in Williamsburg.  The highlights of August:
-Taking our amazing bar/graduation/anniversary trip
-Throwing a crazy fun party for 3 crazy fun ladies.
-Having Adam home all day long everyday
-Getting packed up for the big move to NYC
-And soaking up every last minute of Wiliamsburg with friends and family.

Playing some Hungry Hippos while these 2 had colds.  Hungry Hungry Hippos is loved by all in our house.

Afternoon selfless are always fun

Look who got her halloween costume early!

We started letting Boston sleep in Solana's bed. They loved it. But it never lasted long.  But it is pretty hard to resist when it is bedtime and Boston crawls right in and snuggles up.

Gigi came for another visit. This time, she was on full grandma duty. We were so lucky that she and Brittany were able to take such great care of our kids while we went on vacation.  Everyone survived!

Three beautiful ladies all had a birthday in the same week. So we threw a fabulous karaoke party and it was a hit! I'm pretty sure we all performed like we were all American Idol and it was fabulous! :)

Happy Birthday Rachel, Katie, and Emily!!! The 3 most incredible ladies that I love.

I really got into it…  Like, really.

Taking some time for a treaty

We were lucky enough to take one last trip up the D.C. temple. It was so great of Grammy and Grandpa to join us, and the kids loved having out and playing at the hotel.

Our first family photo in front of the temple. Love it!

The Prestidge clan

Sweet little generation photo.

Solana sportin' her new do! It was our last Sunday in Williamsburg.

This is the crib that both Solana and Boston slept in. It was too big to take with us, so off to Grammy's house it went. Now they can sleep in it when they visit.

Best friends.

Enjoying the last moments of these kids growing up in their room.

Boston hits a new mark. 18 months baby!

18 months!!!!!! I love this milestone, and yet it's so hard to be here. Where has the time gone?! Our second little one is growing faster than our first, and I know that everyone says that, but I don't like actually going through it.  But each new phase is so fun. Boston is one of the happiest and bounciest little guys around. He is a mover and a shaker and he does it all with a big smile.  He loves to play and have fun no matter what.  He is cuddly and lovey and gives great hugs and slobbery kisses. But when he doesn't get what he wants, let the dramatic temper tantrums fly. He spares no energy for good or bad.
He loves to eat and help in the kitchen.
He loves playing with cars, reading books, and climbing on anything and everything.
He has no fear, the faster and or higher you go the happier he gets. He is all adventure bound.
He loves to watch Solana and follow her around.
And his favorite activity is playing hide and seek.
He is so much fun and his energy is contagious.

So for his 18 month mark, I decided to put Boston in the same overalls that Adam wore when he was his age and take some similar photos. I really wanted to see the resemblance. The red chair in Boston's photo was Adam's chair when he was younger, and the overalls are the exact same. I took the photos right next the law school. We were pretty excited for how they turned out.
Happy 18 months buddy!

Adam at 18 months. Boston is definitely his twin.

Heres the side by side to really compare. Crazy!

18 months means nursery at church! He did great, no tears no fear. I think he was actually disappointed when we picked him up at the end of church. I don't think he was ready to leave...

She just walked up and posed like this, haha. I loved it!

Little brother…  They are such a good team.

Boston sports the "get off of me" look pretty often.

All ready for church. Best 3 years at this place!

Paradise in St. Thomas

So, this was a vacation that we've dreamed of for years.  We were really fortunate to go on our honeymoon to the Caribbean, and we've dreamed of those beaches ever since.  This was the first night that we've spent away from our kids - ever - so, 4 years, so that was also crazy!  It was a big celebration for us - graduating law school, taking the NY bar exam, our 6th wedding anniversary, and the close of our law school chapter and the beginning of our next chapter in life.

We were just giddy for pretty much the entire flight, and getting off the plane on the tarmac, we were just ecstatic.

A perfect way to start our trip!  The car service - literally - rolled out the red carpet for us!

The view from the check-in desk at the Ritz Carlton.  (This trip was one of great deals and discounts, and swinging 4 nights at the Ritz at a totally cheap price was one of the best!)
Quick story: our flights were totally free.  For my flight, I had accumulated enough miles to get it for free.  Then, once when I had a layover in Detroit, the gate agent announced that they were looking for people to get on a later flight, and were offering a $600 voucher!  So, I sprinted up to the counter and got there before a line of 4-5 people behind me.  So, I got $600 for waiting an extra 2 hours!  Not bad!  As I happily got my voucher receipt, a guy nearby said to me, "$600?  You could go to the Caribbean with that."  And I said, "You know what, I just might."

The Ritz hooks you up with a cool beverage when you arrive.

Just chilling after a day of travel.  I was completely relaxed and de-stressed from all things in my life in like .05 seconds once I got outside at the resort.

I don't always hang out on tropical beaches, but when I do, I wear short shorts and tank tops.

A perfect setting

#beachselfie

The view from the balcony outside of our room!  We were so pumped!

A little kayaking action!

A perfectly relaxing set up!

Even the bathroom was beautiful!

Chilling in our room

Hanging out on St. John

While at St. John, we took a little side trip and trekked over to Sam & Jack's deli, which CheyAnn discovered had super good reviews.  It was a really fun way to relax and just kick it on the island - we really felt like we had escaped to a different country.

CheyAnn likes this green and pink fence.  I admired the patience it must have required.

Trunk Bay, St. John.  Like, pretty much, the most beautiful beach ever.

Most beautiful beach with the most beautiful woman.

I mean, just look at that water!

Same thing.  Crazy!

So, apparently writing our initials in the tropic beach sand is like, our thing for all of the times we go the Caribbean...

Obviously, we're natural snorkelers and this was like, no big deal for us.

One more Trunk Bay shot

Enjoying some very delicious Root Beer on St. John, made even more delicious by a long day at the beach.

Thirsty!

One last shot of Trunk Bay as we left…

St. John is really cool.

We loved snorkeling so much, we decided to do it again!

CheyAnn, catching a shot of Magen's Bay on our final day.

A little panoramic action from our lounge chairs on our final morning.  Goodbye tropical paradise.  See you soon, hopefully!
