December - Holiday Season in the City!

December was so fun!! Knowing it would be our last holiday in the city, we tried to do a lot of memorable traditions.  We packed in every last bucket list item and we surprised ourselves with all we did. Also, Gigi came to visit and we ran around for 4 crazy days getting lots of sight-seeing and soaking up the warmer winter weather.
Yay for Team P!

Santa's Sleigh in the City.  The Christmas deliveries are always fun to be receiving...  This was a pretty epic haul, thanks to our doormen for gathering everything.

Seeing the Rockettes was incredible, and the kids were surprisingly well-behaved thought it all.

Radio City Music Hall in all its Christmas glory.  It was a pretty busy work time for Adam, so he didn't make it to this one...

Its always beautiful. The Rockefeller tree is always a must see.

First street hot dogs for everyone!

The window displays are always breath-taking!

Stopping in the Plaza to see Santa was our absolute favorite this year. He was truly the best we've met. I'm pretty sure he's the REAL Santa.

The wining Christmas shot

Doing a little shopping at the Eloise store at the Plaza.

Gigi has the subway entertainment down pretty good.

We love the making of the gingerbread house! We started the tradition when Solana was little with Grandpa Brad and Grammy Cynthia, and we have loved it every year since.

Waiting in the lobby before heading to ballet...

She was lucky to have such a fun group of girls to do ballet with, and we adored her teacher Mrs. Taylor.

Her ballet recital was especially nice to have Gigi there for it.

We had to visit our favorite pizza place one more time before we left. Juliana's in Brooklyn is our absolute favorite place to eat in NYC!

My mom wanted to see the original painting of The Women in Gold and I'm so happy she did. It was gorgeous, and it was fun to adventure up the Upper East Side for a change.

Our final stop was for some frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity. It was worth the wait (I've tried to get in several times, but never could handle the crowds) and we had fun getting to know the staff as well.

Not sure how the bucket stayed on his head...

Solana's last day of her theatre class. She didn't love it as much as we had hoped, but it was also very hard for me to get her to class every week with how sick I was and the location up town. So maybe we will try again in the future.

We spent one Saturday crossing off the last of the bucket list items. Grand Central Terminal and the lobby of the Empire State Building were pretty awesome.

Dark photo, but we made it the Empire State Building.

And of course, our cold outing would not be complete without a trip to LaVazza for what we think is the city's best hot chocolate.
