November - Parade!

In November I was still living in sick-town, but we found out we were having a girl, so the excitement for the news eased the sickness in my mind. And Adam was home from traveling for job interviews in Texas, which was a big thing in our life, so that was extremely relieving. So once again just when we thought we were getting settled, life started to speed up really quickly.

We finally made it to the Guggenheim Museum for a fun Friday date night. I've always wanted to go ever since my architectural history classes, and it truly was magnificent. And it surprisingly didn't take us that long to get through.

Finishing up those soccer days in the cold....

We made it to the Macy's Thanksgiving parade for the second year in row!!  Adam LOVES LOVES LOVES the parade, and had this planned out for pretty much the entire year in advance.  Having arrived last year at 6:00am, and finding all of the best spots taken, Adam resolved to win the parade game by getting up earlier than EVERYONE - 4am! - and being on the parade line by 4:45am.  And it paid off!  We had an absolutely perfect spot on the front line with our comfy chairs and a perfect view and no crowds smushing us from all angles.  Adam totally dominated the parade and we loved it!

It was especially fun to have the Prestidges with us through the parade adventure.

We were all dressed really warm, but the kids had a great time.

And we wrapped up November with a quick trip to the New York Public Library, which like so many other places in NYC, is just an incredible world-class building.
