After accepting the Houston job in October, the time finally came for us to make the move down. It was hard to say goodby to some of the most incredible city we know and love. City living is not for everyone, and we definitely had our hard days in the city. But we learned, and loved so much about city life. But I think we loved our friends the most. January was all about moving out and saying goodbye.
Happy New Year from our little super hero!
I want to remember him like this forever.
Bachelor parties with the Colemans were an awesomely fun, consistent weekly tradition. Bachelor salsa, beverages, treats, and our favorite show to watch and laugh at. We sure miss these fun nights.
Our backyard.
Saying goodbye to my primary presidency.
A farewell breakfast with Adam's officemate of 16 months, Olena, and her wife, Ruth, at Fraunce's Tavern, Manhattan's oldest building and a place where George Washington once dined with his men. Crazy!
Saying goodbye to our one-of-a-kind church building in NYC, a five-story church house that was converted from an apartment building.
So nice that our friends the Calders threw us a goodbye party. The Manhattan LDS circle is super-transient, so goodbye parties are a regular, fun occurrence.
Danielle L.
Julie C.
Francis A.
Our great friends Tye and Kaeli, catching a Spurs game with us in Brooklyn!
Our last date night in the city.
Boston's extraordinary speech teacher, Judy, who was so committed and helped our cute little guy come along so far in his speech and communication.
Packed up moving boxes, filling the entire apartment, make a fun jungle gym.
Saying goodbye to June.
Solana, saying goodbye to her best little friend, Navy.
Boxes shipped, the apartment empty again. Hard to believe this little box contained our whole family, all of our possessions, and our lives for the last year and a half.
Goodbye to NYC! Thank you! We'll miss you!
